Uplift 2

If you believe in the value of Catholic schools in Western Washington, you can make a difference by getting involved with Uplift: The Fulcrum Campaign for Catholic Education.

Uplift is engaging people who believe in securing the future of Catholic education in the Archdiocese of Seattle, and those who are committed about making Catholic schools accessible to families who simply can’t afford them. This well planned out comprehensive campaign is poised to secure the future of local Catholic schools.

Uplift intentionally secures the necessary resources for the 73 Catholic Schools of the Archdiocese of Seattle,” said Julie Coleman, Managing Director of the Uplift campaign. “Its support is clearly focused on Fulcrum’s three core program areas: tuition assistance, school partnerships, and building leadership capacity.”

Uplift’s quiet phase has been passionately led by Co-Chairs Joe and Jenn Sprague, who are now handing the leadership baton over to the new co-chairs, four members of the Hoban family, Shawn and Kathie Hoban, and Tom and Margaret Hoban. This family team is equally focused, energized and committed to bringing everyone who believes in Catholic schools together to share in this important work.

“We’re so inspired and honored to be a part of Uplift and believe that vibrant, life-changing Catholic schools matter now more than ever,” said Shawn and Kathie Hoban, as they announced the public phase of the campaign in front of 1,200 friends of Fulcrum at the January 24th Celebration of Light gala.

The Hobans also announced an impressive list of Catholic benefactors in the greater community that have committed to serving as Uplift Honorary Chairs:

Fulcrum Chair of the Board Tony Audino announced that the campaign already had incredible momentum, and thanked supporters for the $47 million of the comprehensive goal of $66 million that had been raised so far.

"Going public with Uplift is a watershed moment for Fulcrum," Coleman adds. "What we humbly ask for now is your support and advocacy as we uplift the children, families, and schools we serve for a stronger community and for a better world."
