Archdiocesan Schools Thank Fulcrum Donors for COVID-19 Emergency Relief Funds

December 2, 2020

In these troubling times, Fulcrum donors went above and beyond to help the schools and students in the Archdiocese of Seattle. The COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund has made a huge difference in archdiocesan schools, helping educators adjust to a whole new way of teaching without sacrificing the quality of education Catholic schools are known for.

As of November 30, Fulcrum has disbursed over $2.6 million in aid to 46 schools. More funds will be awarded in the coming months.

To all the Fulcrum donors who made this possible, thank you so much for your incredible generosity! Here are messages of thanks from some of the recipients of the COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund:

“We are so grateful to the Fulcrum Foundation for the generous grant they gave to St. Louise! The grant we received immediately funded tuition assistance to our families whose income has been affected by the pandemic, as well as allowing us to provide Kids’ Club before and after school care for many of our essential workers. Thank you to the Fulcrum Foundation and its many generous donors! We appreciate you so much.” —St. Louise Parish School, Bellevue

“Thanks to the Fulcrum Foundation for our COVID-19 Relief grant! This support is a godsend for our school community. The Fulcrum Foundation continues to come through for Catholic schools throughout Western Washington when we need it most. We just learned our recent application for $60,000 in grant funding from Fulcrum’s COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund was approved. This support for OLL will make all the difference in paying for extra expenses directly related to the pandemic. This includes extra technology services, instructional materials, cleaning/disinfecting supplies, additional staff, and more. In these times when it’s ‘all hands on deck,’ it gives us comfort that Fulcrum is with us. Thank you to Fulcrum from all of us at OLL—we appreciate you and all the Fulcrum donors!” —Our Lady of the Lake Parish School, Seattle

“I have tears in my eyes. Thank you so much for all your hard work and for all of the members and donors who support Fulcrum. I prayed the Rosary and asked Mary to please give me a sign that there is a light. In this terrible time called COVID, we have been blessed with this donation.” —Holy Family School, Auburn

“Thank you so much! Blessings to Fulcrum. We have been touting Fulcrum (to our families) with the Chromebooks and the new teacher laptops. You have made this year possible for us. Really. I cannot express my gratitude enough. Please know that HRBA literally would not be able to go forward this year, without your support.” —Holy Rosary Bilingual Academy, Fife

“As always, I appreciate all that YOU do to support our schools. #TogetherAnywhere is our school theme this year and I feel like this theme extends far beyond the halls of St. Patrick School. Please share our gratitude with your donors. Let them know that this grant is life giving and ensures that we have the resources to be, in fact, together anywhere we are in the world.” —St. Patrick Catholic School, Tacoma

“On behalf of the students, families, and staff of St. George Parish School, I would like to extend my most sincere appreciation of your financial support during the pandemic. You can’t begin to know how grateful we are for your generosity and thoughtful consideration. This pandemic has flipped our schools upside down and stretched our resources thin! Thank you again for supporting our Catholic school and, more personally, St. George Parish School. Our community is unstoppable, and we will continue to face the COVID challenges with grace, compassion, and conviction thanks to support and prayers from generous, caring benefactors such as you.” —St. George Parish School, Seattle
