Shea Homes

Shea Homes is the largest privately owned homebuilder in the country. During its storied history J.F. Shea Company has been involved in constructing the Golden Gate Bridge, Hoover Dam, and other projects. John Shea, Chairman of the company, and his wife Dorothy Shea are generous supporters of Catholic schools in the communities where Shea Homes does business. When they heard that St. George School in south Seattle was hoping to build a gym, they stepped up with matching funds and in-kind assistance of over $1 million, partnered with Fulcrum and St. George parish, and made possible what is now called the "Miracle Gym." Over the summer, an additional $100,000 in matched funds made possible $200,000 of necessary repairs and upgrades to Holy Family School in Seattle.
