St. James Cathedral

St. James Cathedral has led a bold and sacrificial plan to support the South Seattle Deanery's Rainbow Schools of St. Edward, St. George, St. Joseph, St. Paul, and St. Therese. Under the leadership of its pastor, V. Rev. Michael G. Ryan, the Cathedral parish has provided $2.4 million to support these schools. Without that assistance, it is certain that some of those Rainbow Schools would have closed. As part of its centennial campaign, the Cathedral recently raised $500,000 to add to its endowment for Catholic school tuition assistance, thereby ensuring that assistance to schools will remain part of its mission long into the future.
