Father William J. Sullivan, S.J. Father William J. Sullivan, S.J. has dedicated his life to fostering the mission of Catholic education. He has served as Seattle University Chancellor since 1998 and served as Seattle University President from 1976 -1996. During his tenure, Seattle University grew to become the region's largest private college and the university's endowment has grown from less than $3 million to more than $70 million. Through his stewardship, SU has expanded to include the Eastside Education Center in Bellevue, the School of Law, the School of Theology and Ministry and many capital improvements including the Student Union Building and St. Ignatius Chapel. Most recently, Fr. Sullivan, SJ has been an instrumental part of our Fulcrum Foundation team, including serving as a contact to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. |
