Assistance To Schools In Need

In communities where it can mean the most, Assistance to Schools in Need allows Catholic schools to meet the challenge of today's social and educational environment. Despite their best efforts, some schools need temporary, direct assistance to meet operating costs. Often these schools provide the only Catholic education in the area or serve a diverse ethnic population. Even a small subsidy makes a big difference.

In fiscal year 2010, the Fulcrum Foundation provided $695,367 in Assistance to Schools in Need Grants to 23 schools in the Archdiocese of Seattle. All of these schools were projecting a shortfall in their operating budgets, taking into account school enrollment, support from the parish, and local fundraising efforts. Fulcrum Foundation's annual assistance helps Catholic Schools meet the financial demands of underserved communities where alternatives, such as faith-based, personalized learning are needed most.
