George Hofbauer George Hofbauer is the principal of St. Joseph School in Seattle and past chairman of the Rainbow Schools Committee, which is made up of the pastors and principals of the five Seattle inner-city Catholic parishes and parochial schools. He was also the founding executive director of the Fulcrum Foundation in the Archdiocese of Seattle, which was established to give financial assistance to Catholic schools and students in need. He is the north-western regional representative for the National Catholic Educational Association. George has been working in the Archdiocese of Seattle school system for thirty-three years. During that time, he has raised literally millions of dollars for St. Joseph School, the St. Joseph School Endowment Fund, the Rainbow Schools and the Catholic Fund. In 1995, he was honoured as an NCEA Distinguished Principal at the NCEA convention in Cincinnati. In 1998, he received the Archbishop's Award. In 2003, he and his wife, Debra, received the Jesu-Marie Award from the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary (Oregon Province). |
